Performance Art came to me not as an addition, but as a necessity - an extension of what the canvas alone could not hold. My painting process has always been physical, rooted in the body as both witness and material, but over time I began to feel that the gesture, the movement, the breath behind the mark needed to exist in real time, not only on surface. Performance marks the moment where painting begins to live, where the body is no longer just a tool of creation but the artwork itself. It completes the cycle of my practice: what is torn, pressed, and layered on canvas first passes through the body, and then returns to it again - visible, present, and alive.
